Deborah Ortiz is running for Reelection to Los Rios Board of Trustees in 2026. As a State Senator, I created the Cal Grant Scholarship Program, helping hundreds of thousands of Californians afford college and build successful careers. As community college board president, I expanded workforce training to fill thousands of critical healthcare openings, strengthened dual enrollment for high schoolers, and grew programs for skilled trades like HVAC and welding. Serving the second-largest community college student body in the state, we achieve these successes responsibly within budget, prioritizing students, faculty, and staff. There is no more efficient or successful organization in California, and I would be honored to continue our work. During uncertain times, tested leadership matters.
