I was the Vice President of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte. In the legislature, I authored the California FACE Act & Reproductive Rights Law Enforcement Act that protect patients, staff, providers, and families from violence when accessing all reproductive health services. Today, a new law in California will enable community college health centers to provide medication abortion services to our students. Access matters.
As a lifelong Democrat and supporter of workers, I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Los Rios College Federation of Teachers, Sacramento Central Labor Council, Firefighters Local 522, Laborers Local 185, the recommendation of the Democratic Party of Sacramento County, the JFK Democratic Club, the Town and Country Democratic Club, the Stonewall Democratic Club, the Jewish Democratic Club and the National Women’s Political Caucus.
